Measure it as you make it
Consistent diameter is what makes home-made filament print reliably. The Filameasure reads diameter live as filament passes through the Spooler so you can tune puller speed and extruder settings immediately and lock in a print-ready diameter (Filabot's typical tolerance with standard materials is ±0.05 mm). A built-in tension applicator keeps contact consistent, and the full-size/tolerance-variation readout makes drift obvious at a glance. Add Filalogger and every spool gets a traceable record: live diameter graphs on screen and automatic CSV logs for quality control, research data and spool reports.

Part of the Filabot Modular Ecosystem
Every Filabot machine is a building block. The equipment is modular, so you can start with the workflow you need today and expand later—adding cooling, measurement, spooling, pelletizing or shredding—without replacing what you already own. All units are bench-top sized and run on standard 110 V single-phase power (no 3-phase required), so a complete line fits comfortably next to your 3D printers.
The Filameasure covers the Measure stage and is included in the three Filament Maker Bundles. How it combines with the rest of the line:
- Requires the Spooler (or Spooler Max) — the gauge mounts to the Spooler frame and reads filament as it is pulled.
- Use the readout to balance output from the EX3 Filament Extruder, EX6 Standard Filament Extruder or EX6 Industrial Filament Extruder against Spooler pull speed.
- Pair with the Airpath Filament Cooler so filament is fully stabilized before it reaches the gauge.
- Building a recycling loop with the Reclaimer and Pelletizer? Filalogger logs let you document how recycled blends hold diameter batch after batch.
