Shipping

3D Universe offers free shipping for all orders over $35 within the lower 48 states (with some exceptions). Shipments usually take 2-6 days to arrive, depending on the items ordered and your shipping location. With rare exceptions, all USA orders for in-stock items will be shipped the same or next business day. If you choose an expedited shipping option**, the order must be received by 12pm Central Time in order to ship the same day. Otherwise, it will ship the following business day.

** Expedited shipping options include FedEx Overnight, FedEx 2-Day, UPS Next Day, UPS 2nd Day, or USPS Priority Mail Express. FedEx Ground, UPS Ground, and USPS Priority are not considered expedited services.

For international shipments, delivery time varies by location and service chosen. Customers are responsible for all import-related taxes, duties and fees, which vary by country. Customers are responsible for any return shipping charges, except in special situations with prior agreement from 3D Universe.

3D Universe cannot be held responsible for merchandise not received due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address being entered.

3D Universe does not ship merchandise over $50 to Mexico, since our shipping carriers will not insure the packages. 

Due to current restrictions from our shipping carriers, 3D Universe does not currently ship merchandise to the following countries:

Afghanistan, Belarus, Greece, Israel, Laos, Macao, Myanmar, Niger, Niue, Russia, Sudan, Syria, Thailand, Ukraine, and Yemen

At this time, UltiMaker products cannot be shipped to Puerto Rico.


Returns

A Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#) must be assigned to all shipments being returned to 3D Universe. The RMA# can be obtained by contacting us at orders@3duniverse.org. Each RMA# can only be used one time for one shipment. RMA#'s are canceled if not used within 30 days. The RMA# must be prominently displayed on the shipping label. If the RMA# is not visible, the shipment may be refused. DO NOT place shipping labels or write the RMA# on the outside of the manufacturer's boxes. Over-box all returns in appropriate shipping cartons.

3D Universe will not accept returns of filament once the packaging has been opened.

3D Universe does not accept returns of UltiMaker spare parts.

3D Universe does not accept returns of hardware products once they have been opened. You will need to work with the manufacturer to get warranty support. An exception to this policy will be made if the manufacturer determines that the product was defective upon arrival and authorizes a replacement.

Damaged Returns / Shortages
3D Universe must be notified of damaged or short shipped items within 24 hours of receipt of shipment. 3D Universe will send our shipper to your facility to inspect and pick-up damaged items. 3D Universe will not be held responsible for concealed damage and/or incorrect shipment claims beyond 5 business days of receipt.

Please refuse receipt, from carrier, any packages that have visible damage upon delivery and contact 3D Universe at orders@3duniverse.org immediately.

Defective Returns
3D Universe must be notified of defective items within 7 days of receipt of shipment. 3D Universe will then issue a Return Merchandise Authorization and will provide a pre-paid return shipping label. Returns of defective items are for replacement only. 3D Universe will pay outgoing shipping costs for the replacement merchandise. See additional details below for FLUX products.

Non-Defective Returns
All non-defective returns can be subject to a restocking fee which may include the cost of shipping the original order. Restocking fees will be determined at the time an RMA# is issued.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

The following items may NOT be returned to 3D Universe:

  • Items from orders that are over 30 days old (from date of purchase) (14 days for FLUX products - see below)
  • Used or opened items
  • Any UltiMaker spare parts
  • Discontinued items
  • Items from discontinued vendors
  • Items not purchased from 3D Universe
  • Items where the original packaging is damaged or missing
  • Downloadable software products

Returns of FLUX Products

Returns for FLUX laser cutters are offered only within 7-days of delivery. To start the return process, please contact the FLUX customer support team at support@flux.com within the first 7 days of receiving your order. They will review your request and provide you with instructions to return the product.
For products returned outside of the 7-day period within 14 days and/or found to be non-defective upon inspection by our support team, a 30% restocking fee may apply. Shipping costs for non-defective returns are also the responsibility of the customer. These items may not be returned after 14 days past their delivery date.
All returns of FLUX products must be approved in advance by FLUX’s customer support team.
Customers must ensure that the items returned are in their original condition, including all accessories, manuals and packaging. We reserve the right to refuse a return if it does not meet these requirements.
