The Bambu Lab H3C is a nine-tool, fully enclosed tool changer. Every material sits in its own pre-heated PrintTool, so a print can switch between nine filaments, or between a fine nozzle and a fast one, in about six seconds. There's no purge tower to speak of and no waiting for a single hotend to heat up and cool down. The AMS 3H filament system, dryer and all nine spools live inside the machine, so it takes the same desk space as a single-nozzle printer.

Each of the nine PrintTools has its own filament path and heating system. Every material stays loaded, pre-heated and ready, so changing material takes six seconds instead of minutes, with far less waste than a single-nozzle multi-color printer.

The H3C runs both 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm filament (2.85 mm through the bypass feed) and switches between them on the fly. Thicker 2.85 mm TPU stays stiff under pressure, so TPU as soft as 75A prints reliably at up to three times the flow rate of a standard 1.75 mm setup. That makes it practical for soles, grips, gaskets and wearables.

On a single-nozzle printer you choose between a 0.2 mm nozzle for detail or a 0.4 mm nozzle for speed. With nine tools you don't have to: use a larger nozzle for the bulk of the part and a fine one only where detail matters. The H3C supports 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 mm hardened-steel nozzles.

Push it in. That's it. Insert filament into any of the nine slots, and the AMS 3H detects it, routes it and loads it into the PrintTool on its own. RFID reads Bambu Lab spools automatically.

Dries while you print. A two-slot dryer in the filament bay heats to 85 °C, hot enough for PA, PC and carbon-fiber-filled engineering materials. The sealed bay actively removes moisture and shows temperature and humidity on the printer, in Bambu Studio and in Bambu Handy.

Nine materials, one footprint. Most multi-material setups end up with spools hanging off the sides and a dryer on the bench. The H3C keeps everything inside, in the footprint of a single-nozzle machine.

Lighter head, faster prints. A 40% lighter toolhead and X-axis assembly reach 25,000 mm/s² acceleration and 1,400 mm/s travel without ringing. Bambu Lab says prints finish over 10% faster.

Nine tools, aligned every time. Before every print, the H3C calibrates docking, tool offsets and bed leveling for all nine PrintTools, so there's nothing to tune by hand.

The fix, on screen. The Health Management System names the cause of a problem in plain language instead of an error code, and MiniWiki walks you through the fix step by step on the printer's touchscreen.

Nothing will impact your 3D printing results like the kind of filament you use. Good filament is highly consistent in diameter, is wound evenly onto the spool with just the right amount of tension, and will not tangle when being unwound. 3D Universe offers a wide range of high-quality filaments to choose from.
