The Factor 4+ pairs a redesigned, field-proven H-bridge gantry with a direct-drive dual-extrusion print head, a triple-insulated and actively temperature-controlled build chamber, and an automated material handling system. The result is consistent output even on complex, challenging geometries, job after job.

TRACE goes beyond basic print monitoring to deliver the traceability that rigorous industrial compliance demands. Throughout every print job it continuously logs and analyzes four key parameters — extrusion factor, nozzle temperature, chamber temperature, and build plate temperature — so minor thermal or volumetric deviations that could affect part quality, layer adhesion, or mechanical performance are detected in real time.
A fully isolated, thermally controlled print chamber maintains a constant thermal gradient across the entire build envelope. By managing ambient temperature precisely, the Factor 4+ minimizes internal stress and thermal shock as each new layer is deposited — for accurate, reliable parts wherever the printer is installed.


Edge-to-edge dual extrusion across the flexible PEI build plate, fast parts removal, and verified dimensional accuracy combine to deliver dependable production output. The Factor 4+ ships with new high-flow AA+ (0.4 mm) and CC+ (0.6 mm) print cores and remains compatible with the full family of UltiMaker swappable print cores.
UltiMaker Cura and Digital Factory work together with the Factor 4+ and UltiMaker materials to provide an easy, secure, reliable workflow — from 3D model to finished part.
The Factor 4+ was designed to be modular, so a serviceable part can be swapped quickly to minimize production downtime. Under UltiMaker Care service plans, expert technicians and a global network of service providers help keep the printer running with high uptime.
