Flux Hexa Provides a working area of 730 x 410 x 125mm. This is a whopping 33% larger than the Beambox Pro! This increased work space is great for people who require a huge work area or need high-capacity output. This larger area design takes your creation options to a whole new level!
Equipped with a high-performance Cortex M4 core chip, the FLUX HEXA can reach speeds up to 900 mm/s. That's 3 times faster than the Beambox Pro! This high-speed engraving and cutting allows you to create faster than ever before.
The HEXA comes with a brand new, high specification 60W laser tube with an optional 1.5 inch focus lens, substantially shrinking the laser spot, allowing the Hexa to achieve 1000 DPI resolution. The new laser tube has a 10,000 hour lifespan and comes with a 1 year warranty.
With Flux HEXA's new autofocus and motorized work platform, focusing your laser cutter is easier than ever before! You can simply just press the autofocus button and let the machine do the work for you or you can manually focus it on your own!
Safety sensors are installed to alert you in case of unplanned movement, to give you an overheated temperature warning and a fire alarm.
The FLUX HEXA is equipped with an electric elevation platform. Double tap to automatically adjust to optimized platform height.
The FLUX HEXA comes with a convenient built-in slot for easy cleanup.

What is the difference between HEXA and Beambox Pro?
The biggest difference is the laser. Beambox Pro uses a 50-watt laser and cuts up to 12mm while the HEXA uses a 60-watt laser and cuts 10+ mm or more. The size of HEXA is somewhat larger.
What's the wattage of the laser tube?
The HEXA is equipped with a 60W CO2 laser tube operating at 10,640 nm.
What materials can HEXA cut and engrave?
The HEXA can cut and engrave on wood, leather, cardboard, acrylic, rubber, foods, fabrics and more, the maximum cutting thickness depends on the materials. The HEXA can also etch anodized aluminum and stainless steel if a special coating is used, but the power levels are not enough to cut metals.
Is it possible to cut deeper than the maximum cutting thickness stated in the specs?
In fact, you can. The maximum cutting thickness stated in the specs are referred to a single cut with an average speed. If you slow down the speed or re-do the cut, you can cut deeper. For example, if the maximum cutting thickness for acrylic is 8mm, you can cut 12mm or deeper if you slow down the speed or re-cut several times.
Does the camera cover the complete work area?
Almost. The camera will miss the upper margin by 15mm. Please see the specs for the exact dimensions.
What safety precautions should I take?
The HEXA is designed with various safety measures, such as smart lid detection and emergency power switch. Nevertheless, it is required that you never leave the HEXA unattended while operating.
Can the HEXA cut metal?
The power levels are not enough to cut, but it can etch on anodized aluminum and stainless steel with the use of a specialized coating.
How do I vent the machine?
The HEXA is equipped with an air pump and a powerful exhaust. The air pump prevents the material from catching fire while the exhaust extracts smoke and fumes. We advise you pick a well-ventilated location and use the included exhaust hose for outdoor venting, or use the optional Beam Air Fume Extractor.
What is the size of the work area?
The work area is 28.7 x 16.14 inches (730 x 410 mm). There’s a honeycomb structure tray that can be adjusted manually or removed to accommodate thicker materials.
Where should I put my HEXA?
The laser creates smoke and fumes when operating, we advise you pick a well-ventilated location and use the included exhaust hose for outdoor venting, or use the optional Beam Air Fume Extractor.
What maintenance procedures are there?
To ensure the quality of the laser engraving or cutting, you should check and clean the lenses and mirrors regularly. Usually once every week, but it depends on your usage and frequency. Lubricate the rails and check the water level of the cooling tank regularly.
Are there any consumables?
For general usage, there are about 10,000 hours for the laser tube lifespan. The lenses and mirrors lasts 1 year or more under regular maintenance. If replacement is necessary, you can refer to our tutorials to change the parts on your own.
Is Beam Studio free?
Yes, it is totally free. You’re more than welcome to download it even before receiving your Beambox.
What file types does Beam Studio support?
Beam Studio is compatible with JPG, PNG, SVG, and DXF files.
What is the touch panel used for?
You can start, pause and stop tasks, control, and monitor the status of your HEXA all with a touch of the finger with the touch panel.
Can the HEXA operate independently?
If you import the files to Beam Studio first, the files will be uploaded to the HEXA before starting the task, so you can disconnect your computer at anytime. You can also import the files to the HEXA directly using USB, a flashdrive or choose from the recent task list on the touch panel.
How do I connect the HEXA with my laptop?
You can connect via Wi-Fi, USB or Ethernet.
What operating systems does Beam Studio support?
Beam Studio is compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux
