Form 3BL is a large format 3D printer for biocompatible appliances that delivers large, detailed, and accurate parts. Built on Formlabs' Low Force Stereolithography (LFS)™ technology, the Form 3BL is compatible with the majority of the Formlabs SLA materials library, including biocompatible materials manufactured in Formlabs' ISO 13485 certified facility. What does "factory reconditioned" mean?
A Factory Reconditioned Form 3BL is a Form 3BL 3D printer that has been reconditioned by Formlabs at the factory rather than sold new. Formlabs offers it as a complete package — the reconditioned printer plus a Form 3L Resin Tank V3, Form 3L Build Platform 2L, Form 3L Finish Kit Cleaning Tools, and Form 3L Finish Kit Rinse Bucket — priced below the new Form 3BL Basic Package. It is the same laser-powered stereolithography (SLA) platform, compatible with the same 37 Formlabs materials including 14 biocompatible resins, the same Form 3L resin tanks, and the same PreForm and Dashboard software as a new Form 3BL, and it works with the same large-format post-processing and automation accessories, including Form Cure L, Form Auto, and the Resin Pump (Form 3).

What could you print?
The Form 3BL is large enough to print full size anatomy and medical devices in a single build. From ventilator enclosures to a two-part scoliotic rib cage, a cranium, or an adult humerus, the Form 3BL brings full-scale medical 3D printing in house. One example part from Minnetronix, printed in Grey Resin, took 65 hours with a print cost of about $86.

Sensors maintain ideal print conditions, remote printing lets you send jobs from anywhere, and automatic resin dispensing means no specialized technicians are needed — so the Form 3BL helps you meet critical deadlines, even for trauma surgery. It resolves fine details down to the micron level, while its smooth surface finish and high accuracy ensure medical devices meet production standards.
