Shipping

3D Universe offers free shipping for orders over $35 within the lower 48 states, with the following exceptions:

The following product lines have higher minimums to qualify for free shipping:

  • UltiMaker and MakerBot products: Free shipping over $75
  • Raise3D products: Free shipping over $90
  • xTool products: Free shipping over $100
  • Bambu Lab materials and accessories: Free shipping over $100
  • FLUX machines: Free shipping over $100
  • FLUX materials: Free shipping over $149

The following product lines do not qualify for free shipping:

  • Bambu Lab 3D Printers
  • e-NABLE Project Kits
  • My Yard vacuum formers and materials
  • colorFabb materials
  • Taulman materials
  • Kodak materials
  • Cicla 3D materials
  • Xtellar materials
  • 3D Fuel materials
  • Full Spectrum Laser machines
  • FLUX laser cutter materials
  • Dremel materials
  • The Virtual Foundry products
  • 3D Potter printers
  • Peel 3D Scanners

Shipments for in-stock items generally ship within 2-3 business days, with rare exceptions.

Stock status changes frequently, so even if you received a quote that specified items as being in stock, it is the customer's responsibility to confirm in-stock status at the time the order is placed.

For all UltiMaker brand products, the cut-off time for same-day expedited shipping** is 8am Central Time, weekdays only. Cut-off for expedited shipping** for all other items is 12pm Central Time, weekdays only. Otherwise, it will ship the following business day.


** IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT EXPEDITED SHIPPING: At this time, due to increased volume, we CANNOT GUARANTEE orders will be shipped the same day, even when expedited shipping is selected and the order is placed before the cut-off time. We will try our best, but we can not guarantee it at this time. Expedited shipping options include FedEx Overnight, FedEx 2-Day, UPS Next Day, UPS 2nd Day, or USPS Priority Mail Express. FedEx Ground, UPS Ground, and USPS Priority are not considered expedited services.For international shipments, delivery time varies by location and service chosen. Customers are responsible for all import-related taxes, duties, and fees, which vary by country. Customers are responsible for any return shipping charges, except in special situations with prior agreement from 3D Universe.

 

3D Universe cannot be held responsible for merchandise not received due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address being entered.

3D Universe does not ship merchandise over $50 to Mexico, since our shipping carriers will not insure the packages. 

Due to current restrictions from our shipping carriers, 3D Universe does not currently ship merchandise to the following countries:

Afghanistan, Belarus, Greece, Israel, Laos, Macao, Myanmar, Niger, Niue, Russia, Sudan, Syria, Thailand, Ukraine, and Yemen

At this time, UltiMaker products cannot be shipped to Puerto Rico.


Returns & Warranty Policy

Return Authorization (RMA)

All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#) issued by 3D Universe. To request an RMA, contact orders@3duniverse.org.

RMA requirements:

  • Each RMA# is valid for one shipment only and expires after 30 days if unused

  • RMA# must be clearly displayed on the outer shipping label

  • Do not write on or apply labels directly to manufacturer packaging

  • All returns must be shipped in an outer shipping carton ("over-boxed")

  • Shipments not meeting these requirements may be refused

For returns over $75, we recommend using tracking and shipping insurance. 3D Universe is not responsible for packages lost in transit.

Items Not Eligible for Return

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Orders more than 30 days old unless otherwise noted below

  • Opened or used items

  • Opened filament

  • Opened hardware products

  • UltiMaker spare parts

  • Discontinued items or products from discontinued vendors

  • Items not purchased from 3D Universe

  • Items with missing or damaged original packaging

  • Downloadable software products

Damaged Shipments, Shortages & Missing Items

Please report:

  • Visible shipping damage or shortages within 24 hours of delivery

  • Concealed damage or shipment discrepancies within 5 business days of delivery

If a package arrives visibly damaged:

  • Refuse the shipment with the carrier when possible and contact orders@3duniverse.org immediately

For missing shipments:

  • Missing deliveries must be reported to support@3duniverse.org within 14 business days of shipment notification

  • Claims submitted more than 30 days after shipment notification may not be eligible for investigation

Defective Products

Defective items must be reported within 7 days of delivery.

For approved defective returns:

  • An RMA# and prepaid return label will be provided

  • Returns qualify for replacement only unless otherwise specified under manufacturer policies

  • 3D Universe will cover outgoing shipping costs for approved replacements

Non-Defective Returns

Approved non-defective returns are subject to:

  • A 10% restocking fee unless otherwise stated within this policy

  • Return shipping costs

  • Original shipping charges where applicable

Items where delivery is refused rather than returned through the proper return process will be subject to all applicable fees above, plus a $40 refusal fee.

Manufacturer-Specific Policies

FLUX Products

  • Return requests must be submitted to support@flux.com within 7 days of delivery

  • Returns are not accepted after 7 days

  • All returns require prior FLUX approval

  • Non-defective returns may incur a 30% restocking fee and return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility

  • Returned items must include all original packaging, accessories, and components or the return may be denied

Flashforge Products

  • Non-defective Flashforge printer returns within 30 days require the customer to pay return shipping costs

Bambu Lab Products

Bambu Lab printers include a one-year manufacturer warranty.

Non-defective returns

  • Non-defective products may be eligible for return within 14 days of delivery, subject to Bambu Lab approval and 3D Universe requirements

  • Products must include all original accessories, components, and packaging

  • Missing items or packaging may result in denial of the return or a reduced refund

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable

Damaged, defective, or incorrect products

  • Contact 3D Universe promptly for assistance

  • 3D Universe and/or Bambu Lab will assist with remote troubleshooting

  • Resolution may include replacement parts, repair, replacement, or refund based on manufacturer determination

Warranty support

  • After the 14-day return period, returns and refunds are no longer available

  • Warranty support remains available under Bambu Lab warranty terms

Order Cancellations & Credit Card Payments

Orders paid by credit card that are later canceled or refunded may be subject to a 5% processing fee deduction where permitted.
