Overview
xTool O1 Omni Printer
One Platform, Three Configurations
All three models of the O1 OMNI share the same core engine: an Epson F1080 printhead, 720 × 1440 dpi resolution, and identical bed sizes — 330 × 122 mm standard, 330 × 420 mm large format. Every edition handles UV direct printing, UV DTF, raised 3D textures up to 7mm, and the Pixel-Scan vision system.
What sets them apart is the second printhead — a factory configuration set at build time, so editions cannot be upgraded after purchase. Choose based on the materials and effects you need.
What Are the Differences?
Single UV
A single-head running CMYK + white + varnish. Built for rigid substrates — acrylic, wood, metal, glass, ceramic — plus UV DTF transfers.
Not equipped for fabric printing, fluorescent inks, or flexible white ink.
Dual UV — Specialty Effects Edition
The second head is also UV, adding fluorescent inks and enhanced white ink options for richer color and standout effects, on both rigid and flexible materials.
The standout feature: flexible white ink that won't crack — making this the edition for printing on leather and other flexible goods.
DT+UV
The second head is a dedicated textile head, adding DTG direct-to-garment and DTF film printing to the full UV/UV DTF workflow, plus a 300 × 390 mm DTG platen.
Note: this edition does not include flexible white ink or fluorescent UV inks, so it can't replicate the Dual UV's leather or fluorescent capabilities.
Important Note: UV DTF prints need the LM1 Laminator to become finished; applicable transfers.

What are the main differences between the three O1 Omni editions, and which one should I choose?
UV + DT Fabric Edition: Best if you want to do it all. Print on both rigid items (wood, acrylic) and apparel (cotton, polyester) using dual print heads and specialized fabric inks.
Dual-Head UV Edition: Best for creators focused on advanced UV applications. Supports exclusive fluorescent color effects and soft white ink for printing on both rigid and flexible materials, including leather and canvas.
Single UV Edition: Best for entry-level users and hobbyists. Ideal for high-quality personalization on basic rigid materials at a more accessible price point.
Can I upgrade from the Single UV Edition to a Dual-Head UV or UV + DT Fabric Edition later?
No. Each edition is factory-configured with its own printhead setup and ink system. Because these components are installed during manufacturing, editions cannot be upgraded later. We recommend choosing the edition that best matches your long-term printing needs.
Does the UV + DT Fabric Edition support fluorescent inks and flexible white ink?
No. The UV + DT Fabric Edition uses its second printhead for textile printing (DTG/DTF). If you need fluorescent effects or flexible white ink for flexible materials like leather, the Dual-Head UV Edition is the recommended choice.
What additional equipment is needed for DTF and DTG fabric printing?
The O1 Omni Printer (UV + DT Fabric Edition) handles both DTG direct printing and DTF film printing.
- For DTF printing: The O1 Omni prints the design onto the film. Afterward, you simply apply adhesive powder and use a heat press—like the xTool WonderPress, which features built-in curing capabilities—to melt the powder and transfer your design. Together, they create a seamless, end-to-end DTF workflow.
- For DTG printing: We recommend using a heat press to pre-press the fabric before printing and cure the ink afterward for improved wash durability and professional-quality results.
Can O1 work with xTool laser machines for print-then-cut or cut-then-print workflows?
Yes. O1 works seamlessly within the xTool Studio ecosystem and currently supports P3, P2, P2S, S1, M2, and M1 Ultra.
These workflows will be fully supported when your O1 Omni Printer arrives, so you can start creating right away. Support for additional xTool laser machines—including F Series models for workflows like engrave-then-print—will continue to be added.
