Pyrex® (Borosilicate) Glass Filamet™ Print and Sinter Kit
The Pyrex® (Borosilicate) Filamet™ Print and Sinter Kit is designed for quick glass printing success.
What’s Included: 0.25kg spool of Pyrex® (Borosilicate) Filamet™, 0.6mm Hardened Steel Nozzle*, 300mL Stainless Steel or Alumina Crucible, 0.5kg Magnesium Silicate.
*If your printer does not use MK8 or MK10 1.75mm nozzles, you will need to purchase a 0.6mm hardened steel nozzle separately.
Specs: The 0.25kg Pyrex® (Borosilicate) Filamet™ included in this kit contains 69.0% - 71.0% glass.
High Compatibility: This Filamet™ enables any open-architecture Fused Filament Fabrication 3D printer to produce metal objects. Even works in 3D printing pens!
Easy to Print: All you need is an open architecture 3D printer, a 0.6mm hardened steel nozzle, and a model to print. Print like regular PLA. Place your spool so that the filament coming off is going straight into the extruder. The flow rate in your slicer may need to be adjusted up to 135%. Little to no warping occurs during printing.
Advanced Properties: Filamet™ is less hygroscopic than regular PLA. Filament dryers have adverse affects on Filamet™. Spools should not be dried.
Fully Sinterable Glass Filament: Once fired in a sintering furnace, the result is 100% glass. Instructions for sintering this product.
Special Qualities: Resistance to thermal shock.
Used For: Partner Innovators have used this filament for jigging apparatus for shape memory alloy development.
Crucible Specs: Stainless Steel: 73mm D x 98mm H / Alumina: 93mm D x 93mm H
