3D Printing With Carbon Fiber
ColorFabb's new XT-CF20 filament brings the other-worldly beauty and structural stiffness of carbon fiber to your 3D prints. This striking, new filament contains as much as 20% carbon fiber. XT-CF20 is an ideal choice for fabricating drones, automotive parts, and product prototypes. Industrial designers and product designers will be delighted by its beautiful matte finish.
The underlying material is the first generation of a new, strong copolyester derived from Eastman Chemical's Amphora 3D polymer. XT-CF20 is low odor, styrene-free, and twice as stiff as normal PLA.
IMPORTANT WARNING: The abrasive nature of the carbon fibers in the filament can cause accelerated wear on most brass nozzles. It is strongly recommended that you use a stainless steel or hardened nozzle if you intend to print with XT-CF20.

XT-CF20 carbon fiber filament was tested for 6 weeks continuously without a single jam before receiving the ColorFabb badge of approval. This is typical of ColorFabb: they have an obsession with the quality of their filament.
During production, they use advanced systems to monitor the diameter of their filament as many as 1000 times per second. They're willing to guarantee 0.05mm +/- on both 2.85mm and 1.75mm ColorFabb 3D printing filaments. You can rest assured that your printer is extruding the exact amount of material desired.
Packaging Quality
Each spool of colorFabb's XT-CF20 carbon fiber filament comes sealed airtight in a double barrier foil, which protects it from the elements as it makes its trip to your 3D printer.
