Food-contact Compliant, Easy to Work With and Pretty Darn Tough
We've finally rounded out our colorFabb collection with another solid entry. XT is a different breed from standard PLA. It's measurably tougher than PLA and is also classified as FDA food-contact compliant.
From the colorFabb Press Release:
In 2013 Eastman and Helian Polymers entered a joint development program in order to develop a new unique 3D Printing material for Desktop 3D Printing. Many formulations of specialty polyesters have been tested for functionality, printability and safe printing.
All these efforts have lead to a unique formulation for 3D Printing that features excellent properties: High-strength and very high toughness, Odor Neutral processing, High Tg/improved temp. resistance, Styrene free formulation, FDA food contact compliance, BPA (Bisphenol A) free formulation.
Works well with Ultimaker 3D Printers
colorFabb has tested and verified their 2.85mm filament on all models of Ultimaker 3D Printers.
ColorFabb Quality And Consistency
Insanely Exact Diameter Tolerance
The colorFabb team is obsessive about the quality of their filament. During production, they use advanced systems to monitor the diameter of their filament as many as 1000 times per second. They're willing to guarantee 0.05mm +/- on both 2.85mm and 1.75mm colorFabb 3D printing filaments. You can rest assured that your printer is extruding the exact amount of material desired.
Packaging Quality
Each spool of colorFabb 3D printing filament comes sealed airtight in a double barrier foil, which protects it from the elements as it makes its trip to your 3D printer.
