The technology behind Zortrax Inkspire relies on a high resolution LCD screen with UV LED backlighting to cure photopolymers layer by layer. Since the Inkspire cures an entire layer at once, printing speeds are up to 8x faster than traditional SLA printers.

Stereolithography (SLA) and Digital Light Processing (DLP) are two traditional resin 3D printing technologies. In SLA, the precision is constant, but the speed of operation is in inverse proportion to the amount of workspace taken by the model. With one printer making 50 to 80 parts in 51 min, 30 printers working together can offer an approximate monthly output of 650,000 to 1,000,000 parts. Zortrax Inkspire works with a range of dedicated Zortrax Resins. External resins are fully supported, provided they can be cured by light with 405 nm wavelength.
Zortrax Resin BASIC is an epoxy-based resin dedicated for Zortrax Inkspire. It guarantees impeccable details and great mechanical properties. It's also durable, easy to paint and needs short curing times.
Zortrax Resin PRO is an epoxy-based resin with improved impact and bending resistance in comparison with Zortrax Resin Basic. It offers high degree of detail and ease of post-processing.
Zortrax Resin FLEXIBLE is an elastic, epoxy based resin that comes back to its original shape after bending. It offers smooth surfaces, high level of detail, and sharp edges.
Zortrax Resin DENTAL MODEL is a precise resin with a gypsum-like texture designed for digital dentistry. It offers very high level of detail sufficient for accurate modeling of teeth. Not meant for intraoral use.
External (3rd party) resins are fully supported with no loss of utility, provided that they can be cured by UV light with 405 nm wavelength. Z-SUITE software that comes free with every Zortrax Inkspire 3D printer has an "External Resins" section where it is possible to manually choose all printing parameters as recommended by a third-party manufacturer to get the best results. Chosen settings can be saved as profiles and reused in the future.

Rotation Optimization Tool is an algorithm that optimizes the model's position on the build platform. It can reduce the amount of required support, improve the model's adhesion to the platform, or speed up the printing process. This way even unexperienced users can get high-quality prints.
Z-SUITE makes it easy to work with all available resins. Settings for dedicated Zortrax Resins are already there to choose from. For external resins, all printing parameters can be set manually and saved to be reused in the future.
Times of exposure to UV light for the model and support structures can be set independently. More exposure makes supports harder than the rest of the model which means they can be designed thinner. This way their footprint on the model is reduced and less post-processing is needed.
Prints can be paused or resumed and progress can be monitored remotely on each Zortrax Inkspire connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Larger dental labs can easily manage multiple Zortrax Inkspire 3D printers from one workstation.
